Silence and Memory – A Memorial Corner

In memory of Michael Gal and Shlomo Gortovnik, who fell in the Iron Swords War.

Designed as a sanctuary for silence, reflection, and life, this memorial corner is nestled beneath an ancient olive tree, a timeless symbol of resilience and growth. The minimalist design utilizes raw, natural materials exposed concrete, black steel, and Wenge wood, creating a profound dialogue between strength, stability, and the warmth of life.

The project is defined by meticulous craftsmanship, with an emphasis on precise technical details and clean, sophisticated joinery that highlights the interplay between raw material and architectural refinement. Soft, natural light accentuates the textures of the site, lending the space a serene atmosphere that honors remembrance. It is a place designed to allow visitors to pause, remember, and find harmony between absence and presence within the natural landscape.
